MEET KIRSTYHelping food, wine and travel brands tell the stories worth telling.
For more than a decade, I've partnered with some of Australia's most recognised food, wine and travel brands — writing editorial, features and content that connects with audiences and earns their attention.
Today, I help wineries, restaurants, food producers and tourism businesses find and tell that story — through editorial writing, content strategy and content planning built for how people actually read and engage.
A writer's eye on your content
My career spans journalism, publishing and content strategy, writing for independent businesses, hospitality groups, household-name organisations and national publications alike.
I've written for Qantas Magazine, Australian Traveller, International Traveller and Gourmet Traveller WINE, and served as a judge for the WA Good Food Guide.
Those experiences gave me a front-row seat to how hospitality brands earn attention and build trust — not through more content, but through the right content, told well.
That's the thinking I now bring to every piece I write.
Story before output
I don't believe in content for content's sake. Too many businesses are encouraged to post more, write more and show up everywhere without first asking whether any of it is actually worth reading.
My approach is different. Every piece starts with the story. Every sentence earns its place. Every piece of content should make someone stop, read and remember. Because writing shouldn't just fill space. It should make people care.
Why this work matters to me
Food, wine and travel have always been more than industries to me. I come from a family of Greek migrants who opened a small deli in Western Australia, where food wasn't simply a product — it was connection, culture and community. Watching people gather around food and shared experiences shaped my understanding of storytelling from an early age.
The stories people remember aren't always the loudest. They're the ones that mean something.
That belief continues to guide every word I write.
